Big Plans For Crosby Day

The hustling tourist an<l industrial community of Front Royal is busily engaged in making plans for “Bing Ciosby Day," to be hold there Saturday, April 1, wlt-n Bing Crosby will be present for the world premiere of his fortyfirst picture, “Riding High.” The Town Council of Front Royal will dedicate the stadia m part of the Municipal Park as “Bing Ciosby Stadium,” and Bing will be “king for the day.” The largest crowd ever to gather in the community is expected on that day.
Other events, such as the band contests; the field events, including baseball, track, and possibly midget football; the special showing of “Riding High” for 550 deserving children of Warren, Rappahannock, Clarke, Frederick, Shenandoah, Fauquier, Page, and Rockingham counties; Bing’s Barn Dance to be given by the Teen-Agers in the high school gym; and Bing Crosby’s Square Dance, to be held in the TWUA hall, with those attending in regu
