While visiting in Rappahannock Mr. Lewis gave the following observations of farmers in different sections of the state having Ladino Clover Orchard grass pasture :

1. A Mr. Hunter, near Holland, has 16 acres of Orchard grass Ladino clover pasture on which in 1949 he grazed 36 to 38 Guernsey and Holstein cows from April to Noyemer.

2. Mr. B. G. Locker of Glasgow, produced 700 to 800 lbs. of beef per acre from Ladino clover orchard grass pasture.

3. In spring 1949 Long Bros, of Luray who had what was considered to be good permanent pasture seeded 15 acres to ladino clover-orchard grass. When Messers Long turned their 20 to 25 dairy cows on this ladino clover orchard grass in August, milk
