Scout Meetings

Rev. A. Paul Thompson of Sperryville and Rev'. M. E. Slider and Paul L. Miller of Flint Hill attended a district scout meeting’ held in Luray Tuesday evening.

The Boy Scout troop of Flint Hill, with nine members, was recognized as a troop at this meeting and given the number 36. Paul L. Miller was selected as Scout Master and committeemen are Capt. William Wiener, Rev. M. E. Sliger, Rev. Norman J. Flythe, and C. B. Wood.

CANASTA PARTY

Mrs. L. J. Turner entertained at a canasta party at her home Friday afternoon.

Carlyle Lea won the high score prize, Elizabeth Verner the consolation prize, and the bingo prize was awarded to Neville Wood.

Others playing were Evelyn Tyler Miller, Carolyn Gates Turner, Mary Norman Davis, Beclyr Jones and George H. Davis, III.

Miss Nancy Moore of Madison College, Harrisonburg, spent several days this week at her home.
