Barbara Fincham is back at school after being out for an appendix operation.
Miss Elizabeth Owen was missing Friday and Monday, because of a bad cold.
Mrs. D. D. Miller was absent last week and Monday because of influenza. Mrs. D. C. Link substituted for her.
Mrs. Jean Moffett was absent last week and Monday, because of bad cold and sinus. Mrs. Frank Moffett substituted for her.
Mr. D. C. Link went home Monday morning with a cold.
Winfrey Burke was absent Friday because of influenza.
Garfield Corbin was absent Friday because of influenza.
Evelyn Mills was at home all last week because of influenza.
Libby Hawkins was absent Friday because of a bad cold.

By Bessie Dodson - Evelyn Mills -This baseball season aiv hoys in our class went out for baseball, they are Bunny Settle, James Pullen, Kelly Updike, Junior Atkins, Ben Mallory, and Donald Utz.
Two members of our class, Kelly Updike, and Junior Atkins went Wednesday to Culpeper to speak over W.C.V.A. on 4-H.
We have two pupils out of our class on the second honor roll, they are Kelly Updike and Garfield Corbin. We are hoping to have, many more the n^xt six weeks.
We played our last game of basketball this season and are proud to say we won.

The W’.H.S. students really did enjoy the movie, “On the Sunny Side,” last week. A lot of us probably enjoyed gertting out of classes as much as we enjoyed the movie, but we think it was quite worth while.
