MRS. WAGNER HOSTESS TO BRIDGE CLUB
Mrs. E. S. Wagner entertained the bridge club which met at her home Wednesday evening, March 15.
The two high score prizes, awarded to the men and women, were won by Mr. and Mrs. John R. DeBergh, the consolation prizes were received by Mrs. George H. Davis, Jr., and Earl Edmonds, and the traveling prize was awarded to Mrs. John L. Wirtz.
Others playing were Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Hickman, Mr. and Mrs. John L. Wirtz, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Edmonds, Mr. and Mrs. R. V. Snead, Mrs. R. M. Menefee, Mrs. D. C. Link, Mrs. Maude Gore, Mrs. J. E. Kevser, Jr., and Mrs. W. F. Moffett.
Mrs. Lee Huff
Mrs. Louemma Manuel Huff of New Market, formerly of Rappahannock, died Sunday, March 19, at the Cora Miller Memorial hospital in Woodstock, after several years of declining health.
Funeral services were held at Washington Baptist church Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock with the pastor, Rev. M. E. Sliger, and the Rev. John Adkerson, pastor of the Baptist church of New Market, officiating. Interment was in the family section of the Masonic cemetery.____
Pallbearers were C. J. Miller, Guy Burke, Willie Payne, D. D. Miller, W. C. Campbell, and H. T. Updike. Honorary pallbearers included I. S. Compton, C. O. Oden, Mahlon Ramey, William E. Compton, Trenton Burke, Frank Huff, Allie H;ff, Judd Burke, T. C. Lea, C. G. Reid, Luther Coppage, Luther Payne, and Charles Burke.
