It seems we will have a number of five pointers this year. Ruth Spicer and Alma Green visited the dentist on Monday.
The sophomore boys who are out for baseball are: Warren Settle, Harvey Smoot, Billy Putnum and George Lawrence. We do hope they make the team.
Character Sketch
Miss H. the vice-president of o'.ir student council always meets .you with friendly smile or ‘‘Hi’’. Having been a Home Ec student for two years, she made much progress and was secretary last year, vice-president this year.
She was born at “Ellerslie” near Washington, April 11, 1933. At the age of six she entered Washington High School, making friends with her classmates and fellow students. Now in her eleventh year, she has had perfect* attendance ten years.
She is called “angel” of the junior class. In the freshman class she was treasurer and secretary of the sophomore class.
The sports column also has her listed as an active member. She has been on the basketball team two years, playing forward and guard. Last fall she was one of the softball captains.
She has been a member of many clubs, such as: Glee Club, First Aid Club, Library Club, F.H.A. and S.Cf.A.
Another honor for this young lady is that she is on the honor roll.
