Let those who have no wail of toe now share the day with me. Lo, March is nearly gone and spring is sprung. “In spring a young man’s fancy,” etc., but who has fortitude for such? March means income taxes, new auto licenses, extra coal (for, though we had no winter, we likewise seem to have no spring, also). Oustom demands that the coming of spring and the Easter season necessitates a new wardrobe— from bonnet to toe. Yes, sir, March will surely leave the pocketbook as flat as the chest of an adolescent.

According to the Page News and Courier, Page county’s telephone discussion will come up in Richmond April 1. Page has a problem of toll charges between two towns in the county, but it is understood that the problem involves only one telephone company and not two, as is Rappahannock's problem. During a conversation Tuesday, our delegate reported on his interest in the county’s problem in the telephone. He said that he would be in Richmond on April 1 on business, and perhaps he will hear what luck Page county has in getting their tollfree telephone. He, like others, states that nothing definite has come up as yet. The last report was the letter received by Rappahannock Board of Supervisors from the Commission to the effect that they had requested the telephone companies to answer the request at their earliest convenience.
