To Appear on Television'
A photographer from Baltimore was in Washington Saturday afternoon and took a group picture of the newly-elected town council and mayor, standing in front of the Courthouse. Individual pictures were also taken of each council member at her home. These are to appear on a television show either this week or next at 6:30 on a,Baltimore channel. >

Mayor-elect Mrs. George H. Davis says she hopes that the town will co-operate to take advantage of all this publicity.
Council - lady - elect Mm. Jack Miller states that what has amaaed her more than anything else is the amount ot attention the election has attracted. “Why, we thought it wouldn't go beyond the town limits!”

The Thornton Gap Regular Baplist church provided 'the scene Saturday afternoon, June 17, at 2:30 o’clock for a wedding marked by beauty and charm, uniting in marriage Miss Mary Elizabeth Johnson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence E. Johnson, of Sperryville, and Edward P. Clatterbuck, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stonewell J. Clatterbuck, of Washington. '
Against a background of white roses, pompoms, candles and ferns, v'ows were exchanged before a host of friends and relatives with Eltier Russell H. Thompson officiating.
The family pews were marked by roses and satin ribbons. Nuptial music was played by Mrs. George V^JSingleton of Zanesville, Ohio/Who also played the traditional wedding marches. Mrs. Robert Biddle of Wooster, Ohio, sang “O Promise Me” and “I Love You Truly," „ Given in marriage by her father, the bride was lovely in.a gown of nylon tulle over satin.
