Rapp’k Fair Association
Holds Business Meetings
H. S. Barksdale, president of the Rappahannock County Fair Association, was in charge of two business meetings held at his home June 9 and June 13. Committee chairmen were chosen at the first meeting as follows: catalogue, W. H. Lyne; exhibit, Herbert Foster; publicity, Mrs. R. L. Massie; entertainment, N. J. Flythe; foods, Miss Janet Sollenberger. People from every section of tfce county were placed on each committee, so that each district might be well represented and take part.
The chairmen met with Mr. Barksdale June 13, to talk over plans and duties for each committee. Lists of members were given each chairman and these people will be contacted and asked to start work very soon.
A bigger and better Rappahannock County Fair is planned for 1950.

Claude Huffman has announced that the Dominion Gas and Supply Co., distributors of Pyrctip > fax bottled gas in Culpeper and Rappahannock counties, is moving to a new location in Culpeper, 131 West Davis street, across from the Courthouse lawn. The exact date of their “open house” will be made public soon. K
Picnic At ‘Red Hill Farm*
Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Eastham entertained at a family picnic and hay ride at “Red Hill Farm” on Thursday afternoon.
