Mrs. Sliger Hostess To
Flint Hill Garden Club
Dr. W. G. Pendleton was the guest speaker of the Flint Hill Garden Club which met Wednesday afternoon, June 14, at the Baptist parsonage, with Mrs. M.' E. Sliger as hostess. Dr. Pendleton gave an interesting and instructive lecture on the ‘‘Life of Bees.”
The exhibits on display con? sisted of roses. Mrs. J. M. Settle received the highest score on her arrangement of roses, sweet peas, baby’s breath and larkspur. Mrs. B. J. Wood’s specimen of a single rose in a bud vase and the rose arrangement of Mrs. J. P. Cook tied for second highest rating.
The garden club members attended a tea given by Mrs. H. C. Warwick at “Rockbottom” Thursday, June 8.
