Storage Tips On Onions Having: trouble keeping: onions In storage? Dig them at the right stage of maturity when more than twothirds of the tops have fallen over. Leave them in the field to cure until the tops of the bulbs are dry. After they’re cured, cull them taking out all soft or discolored onions.
