The Woman’s Society of Christian Service met Wed. June 7 in the Sunday school room of the Methodist church at Sperryville. After the devotional conducted by Mrs. Nina Brown a business session was held. Miss Della Hitt led the program, using the subject of the month. “Our Gifts Are Needed” which was based on Matthew 9 verses 35-38.

A baptizing service was held Sunday, June 18, at three o’clock, at the Flint Hill Baptist church. The Rev. M. E. Sliger, pastor will officiate at the service. All the churches in the fieftl had candidates for the baptismal service.
Candidates for baptism were:
Billy Nicholson, Tommy Wayland, Bobby Jenkins, Reed Payne, Washington Baptist church.
Dudley Wood, Lewis Clark, Flint Hill Baptist church.
Floyd Hitt, Forest Grove Baptist church.
