More Into New Home
Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Miller and twp sons, Dave and Newbill Miller, who have been making their home with Mrs. Bartow Brown for several years while their new house at “Maple Springs” (was being completed, moved Monday of last week. ■
The Miller home is located on the right side of the road from Washington to Sperryville in a grove atop a hill next to W. A. Miller.
The foundation used was that of an old house built around 1788 by Burgess Rust, the great, greatgrandfather of Mrs. Carrie Hall of Woodville. I
He married a Miss Anne Porter and they lived there for a number of years. The original stones from the chimneys Were also re-used.
The house is of the early American type, white clapboard with two stone chimneys having been built similar to the original one.
It consists of eight rooms two baths and a basement with a recreation room. The spring house from which there is a reservoir with a capacity of 3,400 gallons of (water'has also been restored.

The card party sponsored by the VFW Auxiliary, which Was scheduled for Thursday June 22, at the VFW Home in Sperryville, has been cancelled, due to a previous ruling by the VFW Post that no card games are" allowed in the home.

Miss Elizabeth Walker Stuart, daughter of Capt. and Mrs. Caldwell J. Stuart of Portsmouth, and granddaughter of Mrs. W. M. Stuart of Washington^ received her B.S. degree in chemistry from Northwestern University, Evanston, 111, Saturday, June 17.
