After the. reciting of the Homemakers’ Creed and homemakers’ prayer and-singing of a song by the the group the secretary called the roll, members answering to their names with household hints, some of which were excellent.

A lot of old and new business was taken up and discussed. The club voted to send a donation of *6.00 to the eounty dental clinic.

Miss Sollcnberger then showed a lot of designs for the trays the women were to make and asked that all of them select a piece of aluminum or copper for the tray and the design they wished to use, so that actual work could be began as soon as lunch was over.

We say lunch (all members were asked to bring a covered dish) but listen to the menu and see what you call it. Hot roast beef with gravy, fried oysters, brussel sprouts, limas, corn, mashed potatoes, baked sweet potatoes, baked apples, potato salad, macaroni salad, pineapple jello salad, deviled eggs, hot rolls, coffee, pickles, olives, celery, apple »pie with ice cream, strawberry shortcake, custard, cookies and candy (much of this being furnished by the hostess.')

As they wj&re going into the dining room, which was beautifully decorated with jonquils, evergreen and yellow candles, some one was heard to remark, MWe’d better find out where Dr. Boldridge can be located this afternoon,n another, *‘l know 111 be sick after this.”

When the meal was about over >and all were trying to stretch their belts, the hosteep came in and said to one lady at the table, “Mrs. —- ean I get you something more?" “Yes,” said Mrs.

—- “a derrick."

Needless to say, nobody was very Comfortable by this time, but all soon got to hammering and in two or thTee hours the group had completed foifrteen trays, four of them being the largest size.

Those present were Mrs. Ada Rowzie, Mrs. Gilbert Dennis, Mrs. Edward Tapp, Mrs. Will Walter, Mrs. Stanish Riley, Mrs. A. C. Latham, Jr., Mrs. Mitchell Green, Mrs. Charlie Smith, Mrs. Less Walter, Mrs. W. A. Laing, Jr. Mrs. A. C. Latham, and two visitors from the Rixeyville club, Mrs. Charles Clevenger and Miss Annie Laurie Bywaters.

All declared Mrs. Green to be a very charming hjostjess. — Reporter.

MISCELLANEOUS SHOWER J

Rev. and Mrs. S. Felton Carter were recipients of a very bountiful “pounding” and miscellaneous shower on Friday evening by the members of Mt Lebanpn and Woodville churches, about 66 persons were present.

VISIT MRS. JACKSON

Mrs. J. W. Critter, Mrs. C. R. Racer, Mrs. Guy Burke, Mrs. John Burke, and Mrs. T. A Pres graves of Hollywood, Fla., visited Mrs. Betty Jackson at the Baptist Home Monday evening. Mrs. Presgravea is staying at thb home of bother-in-law and sister Mr. and Mrs. Guy Burke, to be near h<r v mother Mrs. Jackson during her illness..
