Now, such a statement sounds fantastic;-however, it is not-quite so unreasonable when you consider not only the fact that we are losing apple trees at the rate of 2% per jjear but in addition, realize so many of our trees are old. In fact, better than 60,090 of our bearing apple trees are over 30 years of age; those 16-19 year are less than 20,000 in number; those 6-14 years of age, only a few greater.
