Valley H.D. dub will meet with Mrs. W. B. Kilby, April 12, at 2 p.m. The demonstration will be on selection of rugs and furniture for the living room. This will be given by Mrs. Jean Gallihugh and Mrs. Helen Bruce.
Sperryville No. 2 4-H club will meet at school, April 13, at 11.
Woodville H.D. club will meet with Mrs. R. M.. Johnson, April 13, at 2 p.m. The demonstration will be on selection of rugs and furniture for the living room.
Slate Mills H.D. club met with Mrs. L. R. Hudson, April 27, at 1 p.m. This was a very excellent meeting. The women produced some lovely hammered aluminum trays. Around eight trays were completed at the meeting. The hostess served very delicious cookies and grape juice. This club will meet with Mrs. Carter White for the April meeting.
Mrs. Jonas Jenkins was hostess to the Fodder Stack H.D. club March 28. The agent gave a demonstration to the group present on the “Basic Recipe for making Biscuits, Muffins, Cakes, etc.” Mrs. John Eubank will be hostess to the club this month. Delicious icecream and cup cakes were served to the group by the hostess.
Don’t forget, H.D. members, of Washington, CleanJUp Day will be held April 13. The lot next to the Washington Fire House has been designated to us, so, come out and let’s make this lot dhine. Also in the evening from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. on the 13th the Sherwin Williams Paint representative will paint a room at the home of Mrs. C. G. Reid. All H.D. members and all other women in the town of' Washington and of Rappahannock county are incited to come to see this demonstration.
Each woman will be given a chance to use the new paint roller for applying paint. By seeing this demonstration, you as a homemaker,, will learn how to paint walls the new method, and will be able to apply this method to rooms in your own homes.
H.D. members of Rappahannock County who have iris, lilac, or any other plant* or shrubs of any kind, bring them on the 18th to the Courthouse. As you kpow, this is the day Washington-* 'jMrf liftin': for planting' ana"' cleaning.
