Since the Commission xeit that trout fishing is a sport and not a “meat getting proposition,” and since the trout stocked in Virginia’s streams ‘this year by the Commission were all iwo-yearolds averaging 12 to 18 inches, the creel limit was set at 8 trout in order to spread the fishing opportunity over a greater number of fishermen.
Closing date for the trout season will be at one hour after sunset on September 15.
