MAGAZINE ARTICLES GET AS THICK AS DOG’S FLEAS!

Mayor Dorothy C. Davis of Washington had a ’phone call Sunday from Miss Hillyer of GoodHousekeeping magazine, requesting information toward writing a story on the town.

The Mayor greeted the lady in her usually charming and curteous manner, hut said, “I think it only fail* to tell you that we’ve had Miss Toni Taylor and Mr. Heyer here for three days getting material and pictures , for a story for Woman’s Home Companion.”

Washington is getting to have as many magazine articles as a dog has fleas 1 .

There is- one thing to be said for these magazine-article-penpushers,. though, ancl it’s no use waiting to carve it on their tombstones. They’re as agreeable a crowd ot genuinely pleasant people as anyone would iwant to meet.
