Leaving the ridiculous for the sublime, as we have often heard a friend of ours say. There have been a great many questions,— “Why did you write “If The Cap Fits’?" It was written very innocently. Gossip has the power to murder, steal, and crucify; it is as powerful as war. In my opinion it is almost as serious as war, rape, or any horrible crime you read about in your big city newspapers. Wonder if the gossiper himself realises what he or she is doing at the time they are so sensational by being so noticeable to the crowd gathered around. Does the gossip realize that humanity would really be much better off if he would “hush" go home and work the garden or cook dinner. There are so many small and big things to do, and the time is so short in which you can do them. I have often heard an old saying from the older folks, “People who live in glass houses should not throw stones." This column is not a crusade againqt gossip, but as I wrote before—“Does the cap fit?—if so wear it. .
