Robert E. Miller

Robert Edward' Miller, 79, son of the late Henry Brent Miller and Catherine Wood Miller, died Sunday night, April 15, en route to the hospital from his home in Culpeper. Born at Mountain View farm. Lakota, Culpeper, county, Mr. Miller opened a feed and fertilizer business 'in Culpeper as a young man and ran the business until last year when he retired because of ill health.'

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, April 17, from Geest Funeral Home, Culpeper, with Dr. J. T. Edwards officiating. Interment was in the Masonic cemetery with full Masonic rites conducted by George L. Green.

Pallbearers were Brue Wood, James Miller, Robert Miller, Edward Armstrong, H. D. Crigler, Edwin Fields, and Haywood Miller.

Mr. Miller is survived by his wife, Mrs. Martha Wood Miller, and one sister, Miss Emma Miller.

Entertain at Bridge

Mrs. John Davis entertained at bridge Friday evening at "Hawthorne,’* her home near Sperryville. Those playing were Mrs. George Taylor Mrs.' Fred Schaefer, Miss Louise O’Banhon, Mrs. Carroll Menefee, Mrs. Holmes Hal}, Mrs. H. B. Winfrey, Mrs. R. M. Menefee, Mrs. Z. H. Sealock and her house guest, Miss Lucile Brown, Mrs. Charles Estes, Mrs. Maude Gore, Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Quaintance, Mrs. John P. Snead, Mrs. C. H. H. Branch, Mrs. C. E. Johnson, Mrs. 9- E. Wood, Mr. and Mrs. I. R. Kilby. Mrs. Sealock won the high score prise; Mrs. Winfrey, the traveling prize, and Mrs. Schaefer, consolation. After the game a salad course was served by the hostess. -
