Legion Auxiliary Wants
County Honor List
The ladies of the American Legion Auxiliary have placed the memorial placque, to the veterans of World Wars I and II, in the hall of the Courthouse and they wish a complete list of the county’s Roll of Honor.
People in the county are requested to help in compiling a complete list of all men and women from Rappahannock who gave their lives in the service of their country. Please give the names to Mrs. W. H. Lyne, SperryviHe-3671.
In addition to the list of those who died in the service of, their country, the American Legion also wants a complete list of county men and women in the service who hold medals (not ribbons), such as the Purple Heart.
This information is to he used at the ceremony When the memorial placque is formally dedicated.
MRS. SILAS BRUCE INJURED IN FALL DOWN STAIRS
Mrs. Silas Bruce had the misfortune in some way to miss the - step while coming down stairs last Sunday, causing her to fall and badly bruise and cut her leg. Mrs. Bruce has been confined to her bed as a result of the fall. Members at her family who visited her Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Griffith of Culpeper; Mr- and Mrs. R. E. Jones and daughter, and Mrs. Roy Williams of Front Royal. Mrs. John Moore of Flint Hill, was also a visitor in the Brown home.
