Floyd Benton Seal
Floyd Benton Seal, 50, died suddenly Sunday of a heart ailment at his home in Flint Hill. Services were conducted from the Primitive Baptist church at Thornton Gap Tuesday, Elder J. H. Daily officiating. Burial was in the family lot in the Masonic cemetery at Washington. Pallbearers were Nelson Atkins, Lloyd Pullen, Clyde Lillard, Will Dodson, Herbert Foster, and Robert Nethers.
Mr. Seal is survived by his wife Mrs. Zenia Frazier Seal, three sons, Arthur Seal, Front Royal; Shorty and Floyd Lee Seal at home; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret North of Front Royal and Miss Louise Seal at home; two sisters, Mrs. Albert Smith of Warren
Mr. Seal was born in Luray but had mqde his home in Rappahannock for a number of years.

A house belonging to Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Wood, at Sperryville, and occupied by the Lewis Woodward- family, was set on fire Tuesday. It was reported that Mrs. Woodward had put the children to bed upstairs where they found some loose matches and were playing with them when one set the bed on fire. Mrs. Corbin and Tom Leake, neighbors of the Woodwards sane smoke coming from the house and notified Mrs. Woodward who Was asleep. The Sperryville Volunteer fire Company was called and they extinguished the blase before much damage was
