Cutworms can .be controlled also with poison bran bait made by mixing 5 lbs. of dry bran, Wr^pound of Paris green, %-pint of cheap molasses, and enough water to make a crumbly mash. The bait also will kill grasshoppers and slugs.

Field Days
Planned For Fall
Field days for farmers will not be held at outlying field units of Virginia Experiment Station this spring, but are being scheduled for the fall.
P. H. DeHart, Extension agromist at VPI says most of the proejects underway at the field stations can be inspected in the fall.
However, a series of training meetings will be held this spring to train parofessional workers to conduct groups over the station without the assistance of the station agronomist.
The meetings—for professional workers only—will be held: May 18 at the Southside Station at Charlotte; May 23 at the Piedmont Station at Orange; May 24 at the Shenandoah Station at Staunton; May 24 at the Eastern Station at Warsa#; and June 1 at the Northern Station at Middleburg.
