MRS. MENEFEE ENTERTAINS AT BRIDGE
Mrs. Carroll Menefee entertained the bridge club at her home in Sperryville, Thursday evening, those playing were Mrs. Frances Thornton, Mrs. Fred Schaefer, Mrs. George Taylor, Mrs. Holmes Hall,. Mrs. Z. H. Sealock, Mrs. C. H. H. Branch, Mrs. C. E. Johnson, Miss Louise O’Bannon, Mrs. R. G. Quaintance, Mrs. D. Lyle Miller, Mrs. John P. Snead, Mrs. John Davis, Mrs. Charles Estes, Mrs. R. E. Wood, Mrs. James Quaintance and Mrs. Oliver Durant of Culpeper. Mrs. Snead won the high score prize and Mrs. Estes won the next high score and Mrs. Thornton the traveling prize. At the conclusion of the game a salad course was served by the hostess, assisted by her daughter Mrs. Jaenie Jarvis.

BROWNS RETURN FROM WEDDING TRIP
Now making their home in Washington, D.C., after returning fropn their Nassau wedding trip are Mr. and Mrs. Nathaniel William Brown, who were married recently. The bride is the former Miss Frances Eastham, daughter of Mrs. Robert Francis Eastham and the late Mr. Eastham. The bridegroom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Edwin Brown, reside in Long Island.
The bride’s mother will be remembered in Rappahannock as Miss “B” Browning of Flint Hill.
