Mrs. Norman Graves of Cham-' paign, 111., and Elder and Mrs. Leon Clevenger of Excelsior Springs, Mo., who have been guests of Elder and Mrs. J. H. Daily, left Monday for their respective homes. While in Virginia, Elder Clevenger conducted services at the various Primitive Baptist churches.
Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Johnson visited the former’s parents Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Johnson on Sunday and attended the funeral of Mrs. G. W. Johnson.
W. A. Laing is able to be out again. Carlyle Lea spent the day Sunday in Staunton with Miss Mary Massie Lea, a student at Stuart Hall School.
Elder J. Harvey Daily and Mrs. Daily attended the funeral service for Mrs. Kirby in Boyce on Saturday when Elder Daily officiated. Later Elder Daily filled his regular appointment on Saturday night and Sunday morning in Martinsburg, West Va. The night service was ommitted owing to the fact that the pastor was called to Front Royal for the funeral of Mr. Heflin on Sunday afternoon.
Mrs. C. B. Johnson taught school for Mrs. Felton Carter on Friday. Mrs. Carter was suffering with a cold.
Miss Gladys Reid of Madison College spent the week end with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Charles G. Reid at “Rose Cottage”.
Miss Jo Ellen Worth of Madison College spent the week end with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Edward B. Cary.
