The Music Festival for the grade schools of the county will be heljl a/t Wfcsjpington School Friday, May 18, beginning at 12:30. Children from all schools will have parts in this festival, and all friends and patrons are invited to attend the program.
Services iwill be at the Promise Land Baptist church Sunday at 11 a.m. The pastor, Rev. O. D. Jackson will conduct the services, with music by Rev. Lemuel Carroll and tiie choir from Hopewell Baptist church. Rev. Jackson will also preach the anniversary sermon at the First Baptist church in Washington at 3 p.m. Sunday.
Miss Joan Barbour, Miss Christine Barbour, and Carl Jackson of Washington, D. C., were- the week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Marshall Barbour.
Mrs. Flossie Bruyning, John M. Barbour, Jr., and Edward Bailey spent the week end in Arlington and Washington, D. C.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Fletcher and Mrs. Lily Hughes were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Winfield Grigsby' at their home in Pennsylvania.
