Mrs. Leslie Fox Keyser of Front Royal has been appointed as the Christmas Seal Chairman for the Warren-RappahannockClarke Tuberculosis Association by John T. Trumbull, president.
The announcement was made this week when it was learned that Mrs. Albertis S. Harrison, Jr., wife of the Governor, has accepted the Virginita Tuberculosis Association’s invitation to serve as the Virginia Honorary Christmas Seal Chairman for 1962. Mrs. Jacqueline Kennedy, the First Lady of the Land, will serve as the 1962 National Honorary Christmas Seal Chairman.
Tuberculosis is Virginia’s biggest communicable disease problem and the light against it deserves the support of every citizen in our state and nation.
1962 Christinas Seal Campaign begins on November 13. The Virginia Tuberculosis Association will honor Mrs. Harrison at a reception at the Hote1 Jefferson on the evening of October 10.
Serving with Mrs. Kevser will be County Chairman Mrs. Andrew LaVelle of Berryville. Mr. Warren H. Goolsby of Front Royal, and Mrs. W. A. Gentry of Flint Hill. Members of the committee will include Mrs. James Adcox, Mrs. Reuben Brady. Mr. Elvin L. Coe, Mr. Earle Hoffman, Mr. W. A. Lillard, Mr. Donald S. Powell, Mrs. Charles Sowers and Mr. W. Kirk. Stratton of Front Royal and Mrs. George Taylor of Sperryville. Mrs. E. D. Phillips with Mr. and Mrs. John M. Dorer and Mr. and Mrs. John Geaslen will be in charge of volunteers. Other members of the Board and citizenk ate being requested to assist in mailing over 7000 letters with Christmas Seals.
