Sharply in State
The number of rabies cases in Virginia dropped sharply in the first nine months of his year compared to the same period last year, the state public health veterinarian reports. , Dr. Martin B. Manf said Virginia had 116 cases of rabies through September, down from 170 in the first nine months of 1961.
He said however, rabies seem to be spreading into other sections of the state. The disease, appears to be going' southeastward from the northern Virginia counties of Culpeper, Fauquier, and Rappahannock.
