Miss Florence Frazier

Miss Florence'Frasier died Sunday night at the residence of Mrs. G. H. Hottle (Mary) of Sperryville, where she has been receiving nursing care during her long period of declining health. She was 90 years of age.

She is survived by a sister, Miss Annie Maude Frazier residing in Warrenton, Elder Clarence Frazier of Warrenton who is a nephew conducted a graveside service on Wednesday morning, October 10th., at 10:30 AM in the Washington Masonic Cemetery, Washington, Va.

The Geest Funeral Parlors were in charge of the arrangements.

Surprise Picnic

Mr. and !Mrs. Ernest Dodson of Nethers Mills were surprised by a gathering of friends and relatives on Sunday, with a picnic lunch in celebration of Mrs. Dodson’s 81st birthday. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Dodson, Mrs. James Hamilton and family and Miss Peggy Burke of Silver Spring. Md., Mr. and Mrs. Marshal) Burke, Mr. and Mrs. Dewery Jenkins, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Jenkins and family of Culpeper, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Sisk and family of Gainesville, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sisk of Winchester, Mrs. Charles Hitt of Castleton, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Dodson and family and "Ester Dodson and family all of Peola Mills, Mr. and Mrs. Brew Burke and son, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Thornhill of Boston.

The shelves are supported bv four brass brackets, hand made by Mr. Rees. He also made the cross atop the shelves, cutting it from a piede of solid brass. The four bolts that fasten the shelves to the wall are covered by hammered brass discs. It is a handsome piece of sanctuary furniture which we gratefully dedicate to the glory of God as we worship Him with ‘our alms and oblations’.

We also dedicate to God’s service several new altar linens purchased by Mr*. T. 0. Lea, Chairman of the Altar Guild for the Women of the Church. These are (1) a new fair linen with crosses that fall at the four corners of the altar and at the center front, (2) two corporals and (3) six purificators.”
