Announced at Front Royal Ken Gordon, parade director for annual Front Royal - Warren County Christmas Parade, to be held Friday, November 30, at 7:30 p.m., has announced the appointment of committee heads:
Dr. Carl B. Miller, assistant director; Joseph Denny, assist, director.
Harry Parker, coordinator of bands and musical units; Otis Kibler, entertainment; Charles Paris, Santa Claus division.
Mrs. Carl B. Miller, dignitaries and special guests.
Fred Foster, novelty division; Robert North, chief marshal; Marvin Owens, deputy marshal.
Chief Menefee, public safety, parking, and parade route; Billy Symons, military and marching units.
Mrs. Gladys Lewis, float division; Charles Whitmore, float division.
Rev. J. Layton Mause, religious participation; Harry Cole, student participation; Osborne Gore, transportation and auto dealer participation; Mrs. Mary Helen Lofton, county participation; and Ben Weddle, county participation.
Work on this anrtual event has been going on for some time and one of the largest pre-Christmas parades ever held in the Shenandoah Valley is anticipated according to Parade Director Gordon. 'The parade committee is meeting weekly and the event is sponsored by the Retail Division of the Front Royal i Warren County Chamber of Commerce.
