MYRLA ANNE UPDIKE

[Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Updike, Sr. i I Washington, Virginia, ani bunce the engagement of their daughter, Myria Anne Updike, to Franklin Lewis Parker, son of Mrs. Russell Carder and the late Mr. Elmer Parker of Culpeper.

Miss Updike, a graduate of Rappahannock High School, is employed by Rochester Ropes, Inc., in Culpeper.

Mr. Parker attended Culpeper County High School and now holds a position with Safeway, Inc.

A December wedding is planned.

Mrs. Goddard Hosts Sperryville Bridge Club

The Sperryville Bridge Club was entertained Friday night, October 5, by Mrs. V. E. Goddard with three tables arranged for the games. Her guests included Mrs. Roy Reeve, Mrs. R. E. Thompson, Mrs. J. Patzig, Mrs. Thomas J. Pillar, Mrs. I. O. Wolf, Mrs. Elmo Flynt, Mrs. Brown Miller, Mrs. H. B. Winfrey, Mrs. P. Lee Thornton, Mrs. Fred Schaefer, Mrs. Stewart Butler. Prizes were presented Mrs. Butler, Mrs. Reeve, and Mrs. Wolf.
