Among' thos« who attended the Chester Gap Fire Department benefit supper on November 4 were Mrs. Maxine Cary, Mrs. Joel Jenkins, and Herbert Foster.
The Flint Hill Methodist Youth Fellowship group held a Hayride on Friday, November 2 which was enjoyed by about twenty two young people. The Rev. and Mrs. James B. Grimmer and William Lee were chap, erones and Randolph Foster was the driver of the group.
The Methodist Church Prayer Services will be held at the home of Mrs. Galley Smith, Jr., Thursday, November 15 at 7:30 P.M.

Mr. and Mrs. John D. Green of Cincinnati, Ohio left Saturday by way of Winchester to visit his sister Mrs. L. F. Spicer, after spending 10 days as the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Green. While with them they visited other members of the family in Culpeper.
Mrs. Olney Kennedy accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Fincham of Boston when they visited Mr. and Mrs. Shelton Scroggins of Lignum on Sunday.
Mrs. Raymond Tomzack was a Thursday visitor at the home of her mother Mrs. Ruby Grimsley of the Sperryville Pike, returning home at noon on Friday.
Mrs. Paul Davis and Paul Davis, Jr. of Lignum and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee Barfield and family of Berryville were Sunday guests of Mrs. Hazel Barfield and Miss Alice Hitt.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence B. Dorsey were in Washington, D. C. on Tuesday to visit Mr. Dorsey’s brother William Dorsey who is quite ill at Providence Hospital.
