The Library Club is sponsoring a “paperback Library”. They have received a shipment of interesting high school-level books which will be put on sale in the immediate future. Mrs. Moffett, Librarian, asks that students patronize the sale of these books.
First performance of the choir was given Thursday at an: assembly. Under the direction of Mrs. Warren Wilbur, the* group sang “The King of Love/, My Shepherd Is.” Rev. Warren Wilbur, Baptist minister, spoke to the student body on the Cuban situation.
Mrs. Carson Johnson and Mrs. Jimmy Wayland, both of Sperryville, have consented to jointly coach the girls basketball team this year. Practice has gotten underway. Several of last year’s first string girls are in there shooting.
