The Front Royal Christmas Parade Committee members met this week and are confronted with their annual problem— How Will Santa Arrive in Front Royal? He has always gotten here, but it’s always been a problem, and he has never told us how he was coming until the last minute. The Parade Committee says that the Air Force is swamped with requests for helicopters and they now take a dim view of this procedure. Then there is the matter of protection. The Parade Committee has noticed in past years that a few do not believe in Santa Clause and consequently occassionally bombard him with various items, so ample protection will be provided. The Committee has not given up. They say that Santa will arrive in Front Royal the night of November 30, but how they are not sure.
