sale office and said he could use all the pigs offered. Large cornbelt fedders like to buy in trailer lots of around 200 head. More of our pig producers need to investigate this method of organized marketing. It is obvious that the larger the sale the better the prices. Producer cooperation is a must. Sales preferably should number 1000 1200 head.

Thirteen replies have been received to date on the 1963 Feeder Calf Sale Questionnaire. Ten producers reported expecting a total of 242 more than they consigned this year; two reported a fewer number for a total of 48 less; while one producer indicated he may have 9 more or 1 less.

It will be interesting to see what the 35 remaining producers expect to have for next years calf sale.
