During the question and answer period it was brought out that on the average lot which is 60 ft. x 120 ft., 85% of this area would be used for sewage disposal and if half of the lots were used i nthis manner this subdivision would be one vast honeycomb of drain field.
Committees were appointed to investigate the possibility of a central water system and a solution to the sewage problem.
The Chairman stated in answer to a query that Mr. A. C. Byers, President of the Dominion Development Company no longer had any responsibility for the subdivision and was in no way accountable for the water and sewage situation.
After the meeting adjourned many remained for the fried chicken and oyster supper sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary to the Chester Gap Fire Department.
