Silver Offering Plates

* The bulletin for Sunday -morning services at Trinity Episcopal Church contained the following paragraph: “Today we dedecate two Sterling silver offering plates in memory of Louise *Miller Price. Jack and Achsah Miller have given the Church these two beautiful plates in memory of his sister , a devoted communicant of this parrish . The plates are 12 1/2 inches in diameter and 2 3/4 inches deep. Each has a maroon, IHSjmonogrammed mat. The memorial inscription is engraved on the rim. Many thanks to-the Millers for this lovely lasting memorial".

; Fire Damages Home

A.fire in the home of Havanha Jeffries near Washington, about 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 15 was desperately fought for several hours by the combined F ire Companies of Washington, Flint Hill and Sperryville. The extremely cold temperature that dav • added to the discomfort of the fire fighters. The fire started in an upstairs bedroom, probably from an overheated stove. Damage to two rooms and hall will necessitate replacing part of the roof and painting on the exterior.
