The postmark does make a difference—to thousands who mail < Christmas cards from Christmas, Florida. Each .year, Yuletide greetings, are accepted for mailing from the' town of Christmas by the Greater Orlando Chamber of Commerce. . Christmas is located 23 miles east of Orlando. Cards which are boxed or wrapped and have the correct postage are sent to the Chamber at P.O. Box 1913, Orlando, Fla.
The cards are stamped with a Special holiday cachet, in addition to the famed “Christmas"' postmark. The town of Christmas today is a symbol of peace and good will, but it was established as a Fort to provide protection against hostile Indians 126 years ago.i
