Mary Lea is fighting a bad cold - hoping shewillbeahle to spend the holidays with John and Massie. Sally’s mother,«Mrs. Howie, will be with T. C. and Sally at their home - so will “Heidi*, our little black dog. I hope "Heidi" will make friends with their little black dog “Tar Baby”. Want them to have a Merry Christmas also. Doug and Ruth Keyser hope by the time this is printed they will have big news-" Magruder and Nancy are also getting a little impatient - Can’t tell you how Scott, their son, feels! We'll Just have to wait and see. Understand Mr. Mac will spend Christmas With his family near Washington,D.C. Yesterday at breakfast Arthur nearly died laughing. I had gotten two quarts of sorghum - which turned out to be honey. Violet Baldwin had gotten the two syrups mixed up. Capt. Wiener has been sick and was in Walter Reed for awhile but he is now back at his new home in Bridgewater. You know the Paul Nichols* bought his house in Flint Hill, Since moving in they have a new son. The Rappahannock Hunt has certainly been getting lots of publicity with their walkietalkie. They have had some wonderful hunts as well as some real nice Hunt Breakfasts. Mr. and Mrs. Tholand will entertain this Saturday at “Piedmont*. Their parties are always delightful. The Jack Bruces bad a breakfast this past Saturday, Most enjoyable.
