Chester Gap Carnival Most Successful To Date

The Chester Gap Fire Company closed their annual earn* ival, the most successful to date, Saturday night. Extremely pleasant weather, excellent attendance and splendid cooperation were responsible for a total gross of $6,000. Miss Shirley Williams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Williams, was named queen of the festival and was crowned by last year’s winner, Miss Mattie Williams. Second place in the queen contest was Lois Elaine Cameron and Judy Woodward was third. Other contestants were Shirley Wines, Lexa McCarty and Faye Williams. The grand prize, a '63 Ford Falcon, was awarded to Lee Fadley of Mt. Jackson and the Hi-Fi went to Allen Baldwin of FrontRoyaL
