Sperryville Carnival Opens Next Week
The Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department will stage its seventh annual fundraising carnival July 17,18, 19 and 20 at the grounds in Sperryville. Highlighting the four night event will be country music, a big parade, crowning of the queen and awarding of prizes. Wednesday night, July 17 Collis Fincham and his Virginia Mountain Clan will play country string music in addition to the rides, games and good food featured every evening. The parade Thursday night, July 18, which starts at 7 p.m.EDT will be composed of 100 units or more, and will be led by the Charles Town Brass Band. Fire equipment units entered in the parade to date are: Washington, Flint Hill, Chester Gap, Amissville, New Market, Strasburg, The Plains.Gunston, Yorkshire, Falls Churchy Chantilly, Middletown, Lorton, Brandy, Marshall,War- " renton, Gordonsville Centre^ - ville, Jefferson, Elkton, Franconia, Mineral,Vienna, Orange, McLean, Penn Daw, Mt.
