The carnival queen will be crowned on Friday night, with Judge T. C. Lea,Jr. officiating. At present Judy Atkins leads the contest with 2500 votes for queen while Billy Dwyer is in second place. Also on Friday night a pony will be given away. Saturday, the grand prize a 1963 Ford Fairlane, will be awarded as well as a $50 Savings bond, a $25 Savings bond, 20 silver dollars and a 12 volt battery. Rides, consisting of a ferris wheel, hobby horses, roller coaster, swings and kiddle ride, will be in operation all four nights of the festive carnival. Donations of pies and cakes will be appreciated and should be brought to the food stand on Thursday evening.
