Mr. and Mrs. Charles Henry Nethers and two daughters Jill and Jan of San Diego, Cal., were weekend guests of Mr. Nethers’ sister, Mrs. H. Haylor Updike and Mr. Updike. On Monday the Nethers family went to the home of Mrs. George Wood, also a sister of Mr. Nethers, for a visit of several days. Mrs. Jesse L. Ward and Mrs. Mildred Smith of Echo Hill Farm spent the weekend as guests of Mrs. Ward’s sister, Mrs. Clinton Raymond In Fairfax. Mr. and Mrs. P. W. Scudere left Monday for a few days visit In Washington, D. C. Capt. William Wiener of Bridgewater was a Tuesday caller of Mr. and Mrs. W. Arthur Miller. Capt. Wiener left last week by plane for a European trip. Mrs. W. G. Eastham and daughter, Marian, of Red Hill Farm spent Sunday with Mrs. Wade H. Massie, Jr. Mrs. Veronica Keating and tytiss Helen Fuller of Washington, D. C., spent the long 4th of July weekend at Miss Fuller’s home on Long Mountain.
