Word from L. F. Brooking vice president of the Northern Virginia Fox Hunters Association, is that plans are progressing nicely in preparation for the Virginia Fox Hunters Association's Field Trials and Bench Show to be held in this vicinity in October.

Mr. Brooking added his organization is getting out the program and that George Cowherd and Melvin Johnson are busy helping him sell ads as are officers and directors of Madison, Culpeper, Rappahannock, and Fauquier counties. All copy is to be in the hands of printers by mid July. Distribution of programs, around 2,000, will start by mid August and will be state-wide as well as in states bordering Virginia. The Trials & Bench Show will be October 23rd-26th inclusive. Word has been received from hound owners from various sections of Virginia, Maryland and North Carolina who plan to have entries. From 350 - 400 are expected. The Bench Show, open to the public, will start promptly at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23 at Culpeper Enterprises located on route 29 about four miles west of Culpeper. No charge for admission.
