Mr. Harold Houghton, C.B.
Education Officer to the Department of Technical Cooperation, London, visited in the county last week and was keenly interested in inspect- f ing the new Rappahannock; Library and the historical • documents on display there. Mr. Houghton, on world tour of educational facilities * for the British Government came to Washingtoh, D. C. last Thursday after spending a month in the South Pacific which included stays at New Zealand, Borneo, Fiji Islands and a most adventurous trip by long-boat to ine remote areas of Sarawak. Mr. Houghton said he was most impressed that sp small a community could achieve so beautiful a building for its library and wished to extend his compliments to the people of Rappahannock.
