Mr. Glaenzer Attends
Alcoholism Institute
From June 22-26 the Rev. C. F. Glaenzer, Trinity Episcopal Church, Washington, met with 85 clergy and laymen from eleven stStfkand Canady from twelve religious groups, in a week-long study of Alcoholism, its causes and its prevention. The study was under the auspices of the North Conway Institute, of New Hamp. shire. Study material was presented and discussed from the point of view of several disciplines: Medicine, Sociology, Psychiatry, Religion, as well as from several State Health Depts. and the Federal Government. Those in attendance were members of these religious groups; Baptis^ .Jewish, Latter Day Saints, Lutheran, Methodist, Presbyterian Church in the U.S., Protestant Episcopal, Roman
[Catholic, Seventh Day Adventist, United Church of Christ |and United Presbyterian. I Mr. Glaenzer’s role in this Study Institute, was as a member of the Diocesan Committee on Alcohol, for the Diocese of Virginia. He was appointed to this role in May of this year.
