The 1964 Sunset Vesper season begins at the Luray Tower on July 5th at 8;15. The programs have been planned to be centered around Bible based messages, delivered in the spirit of Jesus Christ. The spoken word will be augmented with worship and music will be led by outstanding choirs from various denominations. The first speaker will be Mr. James R. Bryant,! Executive Secretary of the Virginia Baptist Foundation. He was educated at Perdue and Illinois University and has dedicated himself to the work of his denomination. He has served for eighteen years in the office of Executive Secretary of the Virginia Baptist General Association, and for the past nine years has been Executive Secretary of the Virginia Baptist Foundation, Inc. Prior to this Mr. Bryant served as Associate Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Roanoke for ten years. The choir will be from the New York Avenue Presbyterian Church under the direction of Mr. Stephen H. Prussing. Each service will be preceded by a carillon recital by Charles Chapman Carillonneur at 7;45 p.m. The public is cordially invited to share in these worship experiences.
