Don’t Forget Bedroom
When Decorating
The first rule in designing a >edroom is to choose a color scheme that seems restful, says Miss Katherine Habel, iome furnishing specialist at Virginia Polytechnic Institute, rhis doesn’t mean the room has to be dull! Rich tones can ae used in bedrooms, although i strongly-contrasting color scheme generally is not best. The second step is to choose furnishings that are comfortable and in good condition—a bed chosen for its sturdy construction, chairs that are convenient and easy to sit in, a carpet or rug that completes the color scheme and provides warmth and coziness underfoot.
