The second meeting of the Rappahannock County Historical Society will be held at the Court House next Monday night at 7:30 o’clock. Mr. E. M. Jones who was elected President at the last meeting will read extracts from the.original proceedings of the*State Legislature referring to the founding of Rappahannock County. The work of this meeting will be to set up the general mode of procedure for the ten Committees. Outlines have been prepared for discussion and it is hoped that some committees may begin their work promptly. Mr. Wm. M. Carrigan will be available to assist any committee in research programming and will coordinate the work of all the committees.
The Society again invites all those interested to secure their charter memberships on or before this meeting. Over seventy members have already taken charter membership. Individual, at $3.00, family. at $5.00, junior, at $1.00, and Institutional, at $5.00 are the four kinds of member-1 ship. They may be mailed in to the Treasurer, Mr. Robert L.
