Mrs. Mary Jane Dodson

Mrs. Mary Jane Dodson, age 96 years, died early Tuesday morning, January 26, 1965, at the residence of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Dodson ofWoodville, Va., where she has been making her home since the death of her husband, the late Stephen Douglas Dodson. She is survived by five daughters, two sons, 57 grandchildren, and 106 great-grandchildren.

The daughters are Mrs. Ethel Petty of Culpeper; Mrs. Hattie Dodson of Winchester; Mrs. Kinsey Atkins pf Sperryville; Mrs. Edith Whorton of Orange and Mrs. Rosie (Charlie) Elliott of Rockville, Md. The sons are Stephen Dodson of Winchester and Elwood Dodson of Woodville, Va. Funeral services were conducted on Friday, January 29, at 1 o’clock from the Geest Funeral Chapel. Rev. Mack Morgan pastor of the Regular Baptist Church officiated.

The burial was held in the Sperryville Cemetery. The pallbearers were Haywood F. Dodson, Ashby Dodson, Roy Dodson, Charles F. Dodson, Scott Dodson, and John T. Ellett.
